Let your little girl express her creativity by wearing a custom made dress featuring her original artwork!
The exclusive Rem and Em artwork dress takes your child's original painting or drawing and digitally prints it onto a high quality knit fabric which is then used to make your child a custom dress!
Letting children express their emotions through art is essential to raising confident and compassionate humans. Plus, the look on their faces when they see their art used in a way that’s so unexpected is priceless.
Art doesn’t just belong on the fridge, or hung on the wall, it’s now meant to be worn for all to see. The world needs more creativity, inspiration and joy and I want to spread some of that through my custom printed art dresses.
HERE'S HOW IT WORKS:
You submit your child's original artwork to me by sending an image of their painting or drawing. You can email the image to me after you complete your purchase at email@example.com
It's important that the image be taken in natural light. Be sure to place the artwork near a window during daylight hours with no other artificial lights on. It's also a good idea to clean your camera lens to remove any smudges before taking the picture.
I will then edit the image slightly to create the repeat effect that you see in the dress images above. A proof of the artwork will be sent to you for approval before it's printed onto the fabric.
Once approved, the fabric will be printed and sent to me. Then the dress you selected above will be made using your child's custom fabric.
*****PLEASE NOTE - current printing times are running 2-3 weeks but will go back to 1-2 weeks by mid August
SIZING AND CARE
To care for your special dress wash in cold water on gentle cycle with a mild detergent and lay flat to dry.
The dresses run true to size but if your little one is in between sizes please send me a message and we can work together to figure out the correct sizing.
Fabric content - 95% Polyester 5% Spandex
WHY IS THE COST SO HIGH?
I am using a fabric printing company located right here in the United States. They use biodegradable, water-based inks and dyes and print on fabric that was knit in the USA.
Printing in small batches is costly but the trade off is that your little girl will have a dress that nobody else has.
Any excess fabric that doesn't get used will be sent to you to use for other projects.
GIVING TO CHARITY
I will be donating 10% off the profits on the sale of the Rem and Em Art Dress to The Periwinkle Foundation.
Their vision is to provide family support and emotional healing through camping, creative, and recreational programs. "The Periwinkle Foundation develops and provides programs that positively change the lives of children, young adults, and families who are challenged by cancer and other life threatening illnesses and are cared for at Texas Children’s Hospital." - The Periwinkle Foundation
